Abstract: Using the transient plane source (TPS) technique, researchers measured the thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity of an electrically insulating ceramic material prepared from kaolin and feldspar. The electroceramic was tested at multiple temperature points to see how it affected thermal conductivity. Thermal properties were strongly affected by temperature, and the ceramic material studied had the highest thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity at the highest temperature tested. The effect of firing temperature on thermal properties was also studied.
