Thermal Conductivity Paper Database

Thermtest has compiled the world’s largest thermal conductivity academic paper database. The research paper database is dedicated to the Transient Plane Source (TPS), Transient Hot Wire (THW), Transient Line Source (TLS), and Guarded Heat Flow Meter (GHFM). These techniques offer a wide range of applications, which is represented by more than 1000 papers represented in the database! Search academic papers below:

Effect of Particle Shape on Thermal Conductivity of Copper Reinforced Polymer Composites

Copper powder was used a filler and added to a polyamide matrix in order to generate copper reinforced polyamide composites. The copper powder came in three different forms: short fibers, plates and spheres. The short fibers were added to the polyamide matrix at a vol.% up to 30, and the plates and spheres up to 60 vol.%. Thermal conductivity was measured and it was found that at filler amounts below 10 vol.% the ...

Applications of some thermo-analytical techniques to glasses and polymers

The authors highlight different methods of studying the purity, composition, and structural changes of polymeric and glass materials. These methods include the use of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and the transient plane source (TPS) technique. The quality of the TPS Technique is outlined and the authors praise the high quality of the machine. In addition to this, thermal analysis is carried out on some polymeric composites (cis-polyisoprene (CPI)/trans-polyisoprene (TPI) ...

Studies on Preparation and Property Researches of EP/SiC Thermal Conductivity Composites

Epoxy resin/silicon carbide (Ep/SiC) composites were prepared by the casting method and subsequently characterized for their mechanical and thermal properties. It was determined that an increasing mass fraction of SiC in the epoxy resin resulted in increasing thermal conductivity of the composites. Using 50 wt.% SiC resulted in a thermal conductivity of 0.7152 W/mK, which is three times that of pure epoxy resin. Mechanical properties peaked with 10 wt.% SiC. ...

Ultrathin BN nanosheets with zigzag edge: one-step chemical synthesis, applications in wastewater treatment and preparation of highly thermal-conductive BN-polymer composites

Ultrathin boron nitride nanosheets (BNNSs) were prepared at 300°C by a new variable-pressure one-step synthesis. An increase in pressure during the synthesis results in a decreased thickness for the nanosheets, which were all triangular in shape with zig-zag edges. The synthesized nanosheets exhibit high adsorption capacities for the organic dye methylene blue (MB). In addition to these properties, the BN nanosheets can be used as excellent thermal-conducting additives in BN-polymer ...

Synergistic Effects of Carbon Fillers in Thermally Conductive Liquid Crystal Polymer Based Resins

Three different carbons (carbon black, synthetic graphite particles and carbon fiber) were added to Vectra A950RX Liquid Crystal Polymer in order to synthesize different composites for use in fuel cells. The carbon fillers were used individually and also in combination with other carbon fillers. A TPS was used to measure the thermal conductivities of the synthesized composites. It was found that the use of synthetic graphite particles as the ...
