The ability of Cu-H2O nanofluids to perform as phase change materials (PCMs) is investigated. The supercooling behavior of the nanofluids was determined as a function of copper nanoparticle concentration. The contact angle and thermal conductivity of this PCM were also determined experimentally. A paraffin-based composite phase change material (PCM) was prepared by the addition of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) nanosheets to melted paraffin wax followed by vigorous stirring.
