Merrill L. Minges

18th International Thermal Conductivity Conference Award Co-Winner 1983

Merrill L. Minges is an American chemical engineer, whose research expertise includes very-high-temperature materials, hypersonic aerodynamics, reentry, propulsion, and space system technologies. Minges received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before attending Ohio State University, where he received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1968. From 1960 to 1997, he worked with Senior Executive Service, where he served with the Air Force Research Laboratory and with the Aeronautical Systems Division as F-16 technical director. With experience in the areas of research, technology transition, and program management with aging aircraft, Minges is a member of Task Force United Way, the Advisory Council at University of Dayton, and was named Sloan Executive fellow at Stanford University.
