Abstract: The thermal properties of coated paper are investigated and how those properties affect the other properties of the coated paper. Using the TPS system the authors are able to measure the thermal conductivity of coated paper samples. It was found that increasing coating mass led to a higher thermal conductivity which in turn led to a decrease in toner gloss and density.
