Abstract: Materials of β-Cu2−xSe were fabricated by using hydrothermal synthesis followed by evacuating-and-encapsulating sintering. These materials were then characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron micrograph, electronic and thermal transport. Thermal conductivity measurements were carried out utilizing transient plane source (TPS) techniques using a thermal constants analyzer. The thermal conductivity of β-Cu2−xSe at room temperature is found to be larger than that of α-Cu2−xSe.
