Abstract: The thermal conductivity of combination gas hydrate and combination gas-hydrate sand mixtures was investigated in this article. Combination gas hydrate was found to have a positive relationship with thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity of gas hydrate bearing sand was found to be 1.2 W/mK. This value is much lower than that of tetrahydrofuran bearing sand, due to a 'wall-creeping' effect that occurred during the sample creation. The authors worked to improve the method of producing gas-hydrate sand mixtures to enable accurate research using man made samples in this field.
