Abstract: Thermal conductivity measurements of hydrogen and parahydrogen were taken over a temperature range from their triple point to 1000 Kelvin. A new theoretically based correlation was then adopted that agreed well with existing data and explained the case of the dilute-gas thermal conductivity. The analysis displayed that in the critical region, the enhanced thermal conductivity can be well represented with an equation containing only temperature when assuming density is constant. This is known as the critical phenomena, and occurs partially due to the heat transport properties at this state.
