Abstract: The pyrolysis of rice husk was performed in order to product bio-oil which was then analyzed for its elemental and chemical composition, basic fuel properties, distillation, thermal properties, etc. Also, the effect of addition of methanol to the bio-oil was studied and it was concluded that the addition of methanol to the bio-oil was beneficial. Thermal analysis was performed by a Thermal Constants Analyzer and via thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
