Thermal Conductivity Paper Database

Thermtest has compiled the world’s largest thermal conductivity academic paper database. The research paper database is dedicated to the Transient Plane Source (TPS), Transient Hot Wire (THW), Transient Line Source (TLS), and Guarded Heat Flow Meter (GHFM). These techniques offer a wide range of applications, which is represented by more than 1000 papers represented in the database! Search academic papers below:

Experimental investigations on temperature-dependent thermo-physical and mechanical properties of pultruded GFRP composites

The analysis of a pultruded E-glass reinforced polyester (GFRP) composite is performed by TGA, DSC and DMA methods. The data obtained from these analysis methods agreed well with theoretical models applied to the GFRP. The specific heat capacity of the composite was found to decrease over heating and the decomposition process....

Glass foams from dismantled cathode ray tubes

Glass components recovered from dismantled cathode ray tubes (CRTs) are very difficult to recycle or reuse and so other methods of using these glass components must be found to prevent environmental problems. Through the mixing of the recovered glass with calcium carbonate powder, glass foams can be synthesized that have applications in thermal and acoustic insulation. The various effects on the sintering process such as heating rate and holding time ...

Temperature dependence of effective thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of treated and untreated polymer composites

The thermal properties of a series of treated and untreated oil palm fiber-reinforced composites were tested at room temperature and atmospheric pressure using the TPS method. Treatment of the composites with varying methods resulted in increases in thermal conductivity, porosity and pore sizes depending on the treatment method used. The dependence of thermal conductivity on temperature was also studied and it was found that the maximum thermal conductivity was at ...

Characterizations of CaO-B2O2-SiO2 glass-ceramics: Thermal and electrical properties

Five different glasses were created in the present study with varying compositional ratios in a CaO-B2O2-SiO2 (CBS) System and the thermal and dielectric properties of these glasses were studied. A glass was found that had high thermal conductivity and promising dielectric properties, with a low sintering temperature that allows for the addition of fillers to adjust thermal and dielectric properties further....

Enhanced Thermal Conductivity of Polyimide Films via a Hybrid of Micro- and Nano-Sized Boron Nitride

A variety of nano and micro-sized boron nitride (BN) particles were dispersed in a polyimide (PI) precursor polyamic acid (PAA) using a surfactant in order to generate a thermally conductive polyimide composite film with excellent thermal properties. The observed thermal conductivities varied with the BN weight % and the particle size. BN weight % was raised as high as 30%, which resulted in a thermal conductivity of 1.2 W/mK.  Glass transition and thermal ...
