Abstract: This article discusses the theory and details the experimental procedures for measuring the thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and specific heat capacity using the transient plane source (TPS) and the dynamic plane source (DPS). Parameter estimation theory enabled the analysis of sensitivity coefficients to define the optimal time window for testing. Experimental measurements were performed on polymethylmetacrylate (PMMA) and polycarbonate.
