Abstract: In this study, the influence of silver phase on thermal properties of BaTiO₃/Ag composites are investigated. A thermal analyzer was used to measure the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the composites at ambient and elevated temperature up to 175°C. Results found that for a fixed silver composition, the thermal conductivity of the composite remained nearly constant below its tetragonal to cubic transformation temperature (120°C), then decreased and stayed constant up to 175°C. As silver content increased, thermal conductivity of the composite was enhanced due to high contrast between silver and BaTiO₃.
