Abstract: The transient plane source (TPS) method was used to measure the thermal conductivity of automotive coolants, as well as equivalent nanofluids to these coolants. The results of the study indicated that the TPS was able to accurately measure the thermal conductivity, with an error of between 2 and 4%.
