Abstract: New representative equations are put forth for the thermal conductance of ethanol (C2H6O) which are based on a body of experimental data that has been critically assessed for agreement with theory where possible. The data was obtained through use of the thermal hot wire technique, among others. For the dilute gas case, a theoretically based correlation was used to extend the temperature range of the experimental data. These correlations are applicable from the triple point to temperatures up to 600 K, and pressures up to 245 MPa with overall uncertainties less than 4.6%, at a 95% confidence level.
