Abstract: This paper analyzes the effects of temperature and air humidity on the thermophysical properties of laterite rocks. Thermal conductivity was measured using the Hot Disk TPS 2500 instrument and the sample and sensor were placed in an airtight humidity chamber. In this method, the TPS element acted as both a temperature sensor and heating element. Thermal conductivity was found to increase by 14.7% with an increase in relative humidity of ambient air.
