Abstract: The researchers propose an improvement in the theory of the transient plane source (TPS) technique. They claim that Gustafsson has ignored the contribution of the electrical resistance charge of the nickel double spiral and the heat capacity of the polyimide film surrounding the nickel spiral. The researchers developed improved mathematical equations to supposedly improve the accuracy of the technique by 1.8 to 2.3%.
