Abstract: The authors investigate the use of two hemp-lime plasters (Chanvribat hemp-lime plaster (CHLP) and Terrachanvre hemp-lime plaster (THLP)) for their hygric and thermal properties to assess their use as building plasters. It was shown that the two-hemp lime plasters assessed were good thermal insulators and hygric regulators and so they would be a good choice for plaster to improve the hygric and thermal performances of walls so long as they were within a certain range of thickness.
