Abstract: This study focused on the heat transfer enhancement mechanism of micro oscillating heat pipes (MOHP) using self-rewetting fluids (SRWF). SRWFs are believed to improve the thermal performance of heat transfer devices. Thermal conductivity measurements were taken with a thermal analyzer, using the transient plane source method at room temperature. Results found the thermal conductivity of SRWF to be slightly lower than that of water, and MOHP using SRWF exhibited much better thermal performance in horizontal orientation.
