Abstract: This research looked to investigate the thermal conductivity and heating performance of asphalt mixtures containing steel slag and steel wool fibers (SWF). An instrument was used with the transient plane source method, to evaluate the effect of SWF and steel slag on the thermal conductivity of asphalt. Results showed that as the content of SWF increased to 6%, the asphalt mixtures had a higher thermal conductivity. At 8% SWF content, the uneven dispersion of fibers caused a decrease in thermal conductivity.
