Abstract: This study analyzed the influence of expanded graphite (EG) and sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) treated EG on the structure and thermal properties of polypropylene. Large surface areas of graphite were found to significantly enhance thermal conductivity and mechanical properties. Thermal conductivity was tested using a thermal constants analyzer. The PP/MAPP/SDBS/EG composites showed better thermal conductivity compared to PP/EG composites.
