Improving the Thermal Properties of Electronics

Presently, the electronic and automotive industries are ever-growing. Our society has become infatuated with having state-of-the-art technology. Along with modern technologies comes the issue of size. Each individual technology company is striving to produce the most viable products on the market, while also maintaining a visually attractive and compact product. With a size limitation to these gadgets, researchers must determine ways to condense the pre-existing materials. Determining the thermal properties, such as thermal conductivity, thermal density and specific heat, of the devices components is key to minimizing their size. With the use of a variety of Thermtest’s thermal conductivity instruments, researchers have been able to identify thermal properties of desired materials and test ways in which to improve their function.
