Dispersion and exfoliation of graphene in rubber by an ultrasonically-assisted latex mixing and in situ reduction processĀ

In this paper, natural rubber (NR)/graphene (GE) composites were prepared using an ultrasonically-assisted latex mixing and in situ reduction (ULMR) process. A thermal constants analyzer measured the thermal conductivity of the NR/GE composites using the transient plane source (TPS) method. Results showed that GE had a good thermal conductivity, and can be used as a thermal conductivity enhancer in polymers....

Dispersion and Exfoliation of Graphene in Rubber by an Ultrasonically-Assisted Latex Mixing and In situ Reduction Process

Natural rubber/graphene (NR/GE) composites were prepared by ultrasonically-assisted latex mining and an in situ reduction process, followed by latex coagulation to obtain the masterbatch. It was determined that this method of preparing the NR/GE composites resulted in an increase in tensile strength when compared to conventional direct mixing. A variety of properties of the composites were investigated, including: thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, specific heat, maximum torque, crosslink ...
