Thermal Conductivity Paper Database

Thermtest has compiled the world’s largest thermal conductivity academic paper database. The research paper database is dedicated to the Transient Plane Source (TPS), Transient Hot Wire (THW), Transient Line Source (TLS), and Guarded Heat Flow Meter (GHFM). These techniques offer a wide range of applications, which is represented by more than 1000 papers represented in the database! Search academic papers below:

Design of ceramic phosphor plate with functional materials for applications in high power LEDs

Traditionally, white LED's are made by mixing phosphor with an epoxy resin. But, the phosphor is not always evenly distributed, and the epoxy resin has a low thermal conductivity resulting in accelerated thermal aging during operation. This article studies the effects of implementing a ceramic phosphor plate with varying concentrations of magnesium oxide, and silicon dioxide. It was found that as the magnesium oxide concentration increased so did the thermal ...

Low thermal conductivity and enhanced thermoelectric performance of nanostructured Al-doped ZnTe

This article investigates the effect of aluminum doping on the thermal conductivity and other thermoelectric properties of nanostructured Zn1•XAlXTe (0 ≤ X ≤ 0.15) for a temperature range of 300 K – 600 K. The thermal conductivity was measured using the transient plane source (TPS) technique by a thermal constants analyzer. It was found that with increasing doping of aluminum, the thermal conductivity decreased, and with increasing temperature thermal conductivity also decreased. The decreasing of thermal ...

Preparation of porous mullite ceramics with low thermal conductivity

This study analyses a mullite ceramic formed through foaming and starch consolidation of mullite powder, and how its thermal conductivity changes with porosity of the ceramic. The thermal conductivity was measured through the transient plane source (TPS) method with the TPS. As the porosity of the mullite ceramic increases so does the thermal conductivity....

Fabrication of highly porous silica thermal insulators prepared by gelation-freezing route

The purpose of this study was to produce high porosity silica thermal insulators through gelation-freezing. The thermal conductivities of the insulators in relation to porosity and microstructure were measured by a thermal constant analyzer based on the transient plane source (TPS) method. The thermal conductivities of the S1 and S10 samples remained fairly constant despite temperature changes, and were mainly affected by solid and gas conduction....

Thermal behaviour of sol-gel derived phosphate ceramics

Phosphosilicate ceramics with varying compositions were synthesized through the sol-gel process and the thermal conductivity of the samples was measured using the transient plane source (TPS) method. Results showed that the thermal conductivity of phosphosilicate ceramic powder was low, but increased slightly with phosphorous concentration. The low thermal conductivity of the ceramics could be useful in thermal barrier applications....
