Thermal Conductivity Paper Database

Thermtest has compiled the world’s largest thermal conductivity academic paper database. The research paper database is dedicated to the Transient Plane Source (TPS), Transient Hot Wire (THW), Transient Line Source (TLS), and Guarded Heat Flow Meter (GHFM). These techniques offer a wide range of applications, which is represented by more than 1000 papers represented in the database! Search academic papers below:

Fabrication and morphology control of highly porous mullite thermal insulators prepared by gelation freezing route

In this study, the effect of freeze casting method to fabricate thermal insulators is analyzed. Gelation freezing was done to create unique honeycomb-like microstructures with high porosity. A thermal analyzer was used to measure the thermal conductivity of the insulators with the transient plane source (TPS) method. Results showed that the insulators exhibited very low thermal conductivities....

Tailoring Ca3Co4O9 microstructure and performances using a transient liquid phase sintering additive

Research has been focused on the Co-based thermoelectric family since the discovery of thermoelectric properties in NaCo₂O₄ ceramics. The formation of strong grain boundaries has been achieved in several ceramic materials through the addition of metallic Ag, forming the liquid phase. In the case of Ca₃Co₄O₉ ceramic materials, it is essential to find a comparable additive. In this study, K₂CO₃ is analyzed as liquid phase promoter ...

Thermal conductivity measurements of Kaolite

The purpose of this study was to measure the thermal conductivity of cementitious Kaolite 1600 for its potential to replace the radioactive materials in ES-2 containers. A thermal constants analyzer measured the thermal conductivity of the Kaolite samples using the transient plane source (TPS) method. Results showed that despite different densities, the thermal conductivities of the samples were similar up to 100 °C.  Similar to ceramics and other insulating materials, the thermal ...

Vacuum insulation panel core materials and modelling the thermal conductivity of granular materials

Vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) are highly insulative materials that have industrial applications. This study aimed to replace glass fibers (GF) and fumed silica (FS) in VIPs with diatomaceous earth (DE) and glass bubbles (GB) to reduce the production cost and lengthen the service life of VIPs. Three experiments were carried out using a thermal constants analyzer based on the transient plane source (TPS) method to determine the effectiveness of DE ...

Effect of wall decorative materials on cooling load of an air condition

In this study, the thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and specific heat of various wall decorative materials were measured using the transient plane source (TPS) technique. Additionally, the thermal emittance of materials painted with acrylic and ceramic paints were measured after the objects were exposed to sunlight....
