Reference Correlations of the Thermal Conductivity of Ethene and Propene

Wide-range reference temperature-and-density based equations for the thermal conductivity of ethene and propene are given. These equations are based upon a body of critically assessed data, acquired partially using the transient hot wire method. The ethene correlation is valid from 110 to 680 K and up to 200 MPa with a maximum uncertainty of 5%. The propene correlation from 180 to 625 K at pressures up to 50 MPa, with an uncertainty of 5%....

Reference Correlations of the Thermal Conductivity of o-Xylene, m-Xylene, p-Xylene, and Ethylbenzene from the Triple Point to 700 K and Moderate Pressures

O-xylene, m-xylene, p-xylene, and ethylbenzene are all given new representative reference equations for their thermal conductivities based upon experimental data that has been critically assessed for consistency and agreement with theory. This data was collected in part due to the transient hot wire method. The theoretically expected enhancements in the critical regions of all four agree with the data collected and can be well represented by theoretically based equations containing ...

Benzene: A further liquid thermal conductivity standard

Analysis of the available data to expand the liquid thermal conductivity standard of benzene along the saturation line. Most of this data has been collected using the transient hot wire technique and is of such quality that for most of the liquid range, the new standard reference values can be proposed with uncertaintie values lower than 1% ....

The Thermal Conductivity of Methane and Tetrafluoromethane in the Limit of Zero Density

An accurate representation of the thermal conductivity of methane and tetrafluoromethane in the limit of zero density valid for the temperature range 120–1000 K with a highest uncertainty of 4%. Also included is a temperature range of 280–750 K with a highest uncertainty of 5% for methane and tetrafluoromethane respectively. These theoretically based correlations are compared to bodies of data, collected mainly from the transient hot ...

Experimental Data for the Viscosity and Thermal Conductivity of Water and Steam

All reliable experimental data available relating to the viscosity and thermal conductance of water has been collected and turned into the current temperature scale and a set of units. There are four groups of data collected; liquid at ambient pressure, the rest of the liquid phase, the vapor phase, and the super-critical region. For each data point collected, a density was calculated theoretically. Viscosity was measured in the range of ...
