Chia-Jyi Liu graduated from John’s Hopkins University in 1991, where he earned his Ph.D. in Material Physics and Chemistry. After graduating, Liu took on several research and teaching posts, all over the world. Presently, Liu is a distinguished professor at the National Changua University of Education in Taiwan. Here, Liu focuses his studies on developing novel and technically advanced materials for thermoelectrics. Liu has published over 100 papers in international journals pertaining to his research efforts with thermoelectrics. Dr. Liu has not only been presented with awards for his research efforts, he has also received awards and merits for his teaching excellence. When not in the lab or in lecture halls, Liu can be found editing for The Scientific World Journal: Condensed Matter Physics, as an editorial board member, or editing for Frontiers: Nanostructured thermoelectric composites, as a Lead Guest Editor.
